Jamal Abdi is the executive director of NIAC Action, the civic-action sister organization of the National Iranian-American Council. He previously worked as a policy advisor in the US Congress and as a field organizer for national Congressional elections in his home state of Washington. He has written for a number of publications, including The New York Times, Foreign Policy, The Hill, al-Jazeera, NPR, and the BBC.
