James M. Acton

A physicist, Acton is an associate in the Nonproliferation Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. His expertise is in verification, especially IAEA safeguards, and nonproliferation and disarmament more broadly. Previously, he was a lecturer at King’s College London and the science and technology researcher at VERTIC, where he participated in the British and Norwegian dialogue on verifying the dismantlement of warheads.
