The death of famed biologist Paul Ehrlich on March 13 at 93 has occasioned a flurry of commentary in the press and on social media, some of it thoughtful, some of it scurrilous, and most of it insufficiently attentive to his remarkable contributions to science and to public awareness of the environmental threats faced by humanity.
