
Polina Sinovets is the founder and head of the Odesa Center for Nonproliferation at Odesa I.I. Mechnikov National University in Ukraine. She is also an associate professor in the university’s Department of International Relations, Political Science and Sociology. She is the author or co-author of multiple publications on the nuclear weapons policy of the US and Russia, nuclear deterrence, strategic stability, and European Security. Her articles have appeared in the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, The Nonproliferation Review, and the Journal for Peace and Nuclear Disarmament, among other publications. She is also the editor of the books Ukraine’s Nuclear History: A Non-Proliferation Perspective; Arms Control and Europe; New Challenges and Prospects for Strategic Stability; and Russia’s War on Ukraine: The Implications for the Global Nuclear Order.
