Chanese A. Forté

Chanese A. Forté is a scientist in the Global Security Program at the Union of Concerned Scientists. She has extensive knowledge of community health and mechanisms of disease as an environmental epidemiologist and computational toxicologist. Her work focuses on the health risks posed by nuclear weapons, particularly their impact on vulnerable populations, with the aim of shaping evidence-based nuclear policy. She has previously worked in regulatory science and occupational health, reproductive health, and in Good Manufacturing Practices. She has PhDs in Environmental Health Sciences and Scientific Computing from the University of Michigan, and an MPH in epidemiology and biostatistics from the University of Georgia.
