Mark Fitzpatrick is a former State Department official, having served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Nonproliferation and as nuclear counselor at the US Mission to UN Organizations in Vienna. He is an IISS associate fellow and previously ran the IISS Non-Proliferation Programme for 13 years.
