Sitki Egeli teaches at Turkey’s Izmir University of Economics. He was the foreign relations director of Turkey’s Undersecretariat for Defense Industries from 1991 to 1999, and afterwards served as vice president of Overseas Development Corporation, a multinational consulting firm specializing in the defense and aerospace industries. His published work has focused on proliferation and nonproliferation, weapons of mass destruction, missile defense, the arms trade, and regional security. He holds a doctorate in international relations from Bilkent University and a master’s degree in the same field from the University of Chicago.
