Zmorzynska is a biochemist/molecular biologist and a member of the research group for biological arms control at the University of Hamburg. Her research focuses on dual-use issues in the life sciences, and in 2007, she was the lead researcher on the occasional paper “Neither Here Nor There: Disease Outbreak Data in the Confidence Building Measures under the Biological Weapons Convention and in Open Sources.”
