A division chief in the U.S. Arms Control and Disarmament Agency and office director in the State Department, Corden was the director of administration for the Provisional Technical Secretariat of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty’s Preparatory Commission from 2002 until 2007. From 2009 until 2016 he was a visiting scholar at the Center for Science, Technology and Security Policy at the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
