William J. Kinsella is a professor in the Department of Communication at North Carolina State University and a faculty member in the university’s interdisciplinary program on Science, Technology, and Society. His work on nuclear energy communication has examined the areas of nuclear fusion research, environmental cleanup across the US nuclear weapons complex, and commercial nuclear energy in the United States, Europe, and Japan. He is working on a book-length writing project titled Negotiating Nuclear Safety.
