The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists is growing! We’re announcing four new support positions: Arts Science Initiative Coordinator, Communications Coordinator, Development Coordinator, and Grants Writer.

POSITION DESCRIPTION, ARTS INITIATIVE COORDINATOR

Working with the Bulletin’s President and CEO, this is a 10-hour a week position. The Arts Science Initiative Coordinator will help create a powerful new platform on which members of the creative community can present their work, interact with scientists, develop new frameworks at the intersection of art and science, and engage new audiences intent on solving the globe’s most pressing security challenges including: nuclear risk, climate change, and disruptive technologies. POSITION DESCRIPTION, COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR

The Communications Coordinator supports the daily operations of the Communications team. In addition to acting as iContact email coordinator, this position requires extensive involvement in e-newsletter and announcement creation, assistance with administrative website postings, social media, and media outreach. Tracking of social media/website statistics and help in the creation of reports are also key parts of the position. POSITION DESCRIPTION, DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR

The Development Coordinator supports the daily operations of the Development team. In addition to acting as the Bulletin’s Salesforce database administrator, this position will involve extensive planning and execution of special programs and events as assigned by the Development Director. POSITION DESCRIPTION, GRANTS WRITER

The Grants Writer will identify new grant opportunities and manage existing relationships with grantors. Responsible for writing and submitting grants and shepherding them through the grant evaluation process. This position reports to the Development Director and works closely with the President and CEO. The ideal candidate will devote 15-20 hours per week. Can be a telecommuting position.
