Laurence Boisson de Chazournes

Professor Laurence Boisson de Chazournes has long been engaged in teaching international law at the University of Geneva and held an Annual Chair dedicated to Freshwaters in international law at the Collège de France in 2022-2023. She is the Director of the Platform for International Water Law of the Geneva Water Hub, President of the Council of the Center for International Dispute Settlement, and Titulaire Member of the Institut de droit international and a member of the Curatorium of the Hague Academy of International Law. She appears as Counsel and Advocate before the International Court of Justice (ICJ), the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea (ITLOS) and other dispute settlement bodies. She is also an experienced arbitrator who regularly sits for various international arbitral institutions.
