Seán Ó hÉigeartaigh

Seán Ó hÉigeartaigh is director of the AI: Futures and Responsibility Programme at the Centre for the Future of Intelligence at the University of Cambridge. Seán’s work focuses on foresight, governance, and risks associated with frontier AI development. He leads a number of projects building cooperation on AI governance between international research leaders, including co-Chairing the World Internet Conference’s International AI Governance Programme and co-directing the China-UK Research Centre for AI Ethics and Governance. He has advised the OECD, Global Partnership on AI, United Nations, and UK Government risks from AI and global catastrophic threats more broadly.
