Amy E. Smithson

Amy E. Smithson specializes in field research on issues
related to chemical and biological weapons nonproliferation.
She has visited roughly 20 former Soviet bioweapons facilities,
managed a non-profit project to help former Soviet
bioweapons workers find private sector jobs in the West,
and worked with countless cooperative threat reduction programs,
both inside and outside the former Soviet Union. Her
publications and expertise have drawn numerous invitations
to testify before Congress, speak in other venues, and assist
the media.
