Derek Abbott is a professor in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Adelaide in Australia. A physicist and electronic engineer, he is an expert on complex systems and multidisciplinary applications of engineering and physics, and has recently become active in researching the scientific and technological challenges of meeting the world’s energy demands.
