A virologist, Kuhn is a research scholar at Harvard University and a member of the Center for Arms Control and Nonproliferation’s Scientists Working Group on Biological and Chemical Weapons. His expertise is in biodefense and emerging infectious diseases. He is a fellow at the New England Regional Center for Excellence/Biodefense and Emerging Diseases in Boston and previously worked at the Scientific-Research Center for Virology and Biotechnology (otherwise known as Vector) in Russia.
