Stephen R. Weissman

Stephen R. Weissman is former subcommittee staff director of the US House of Representatives’ Foreign Affairs Committee, senior governance adviser for USAID, and associate professor of political science at the University of Texas at Dallas. He is the author of A Culture of Deference: Congress’s Failure of Leadership in Foreign Policy and has published articles concerning conflicts in Afghanistan, Angola, Bosnia, Burundi, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Libya, Syria and Yemen.
