On April 14, Speak up for Science

By Private: Janice Sinclaire | April 10, 2018

Join us on Saturday, April 14 from 1 to 4 pm at Chicago’s official March for Science event, “Speak Up For Science,” a science expo and rally to advocate for science, its advancement, and its protection.

Science enthusiasts and supporters will be joining us on the South Terrace at Chicago’s Field Museum. Come meet scientists, learn about concrete ways you can fight for the planet, share your voice with legislators, explore the museum, and more! The Museum is offering free basic admission to Illinois residents all day.

Be sure to visit the Bulletin’s table to learn more about the work we do, talk to our team, chat with our leadership and supporters, and meet the Bulletin’s 2017 Rieser Award winner, particle physicist Yangyang Cheng. She’ll be lending a hand discussing the wonders of science and why she recently traveled to Washington, DC to advocate for science awareness and funding with members of Congress.

Not in the Chicago area? No worries: From Washington D.C. to Abuja, Nigeria, science supporters across the globe are mobilizing. Events range from science expos to large-scale marches. Find an event near you at the March for Science website.

Speak Up for Science is free and open to the public.
