Ance Baura is a diplomat at the Permanent Mission of Latvia to the United Nations, where she provides an analysis of the work of the UN Security Council. She previously worked as an expert in the arms control division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia. Her responsibilities in this capacity involved providing analysis and guidelines concerning disarmament and the nonproliferation of weapons of mass destruction and their associated materials and technologies. Baura is an alumna of the United Nations Disarmament Fellowship Programme, and recently completed a fellowship at the Arms Control Negotiation Academy. She holds a master’s degree in diplomacy and a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Latvia.
