Christiana Figueres

Christiana Figueres is a Costa Rican climate change leader and was the head of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change 2010 – 2016, developing the Paris Agreement on Climate Change which was unanimously adopted by 195 sovereign nations in December 2015. Since then, Ms. Figueres co-founded the social enterprise Global Optimism Inc, is the co-author of The Future We Choose: The Stubborn Optimist’s Guide to the Climate Crisis (Penguin Random House 2019), and is co-host of the podcast Outrage and Optimism.
