Magazine FAQ

To access our digital archive of all magazines going back to 1945, go to our Archive page at https://thebulletin.org/archive/ and click the “Visit the archive” button. Please note that you must be logged in before you click “Visit the archive” (instructions for how to log in to your account on our website are described above in our FAQ).

You will then be redirected to the Taylor & Francis portal which houses the archive. There you should see “Access provided by Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists” at the top of the page. You do not need to “log in” to the Taylor & Francis portal separately.

PDF printouts of all issues and individual articles are available in our archive. Please login to your account on our website and then visit the archive at https://thebulletin.org/archive/. Click on any issue in the Taylor & Francis portal and then the “Download PDFs” link above the magazine title. To download an individual article, click the “PDF” option for the article in the article listing for its parent issue or the green “View PDF” button on the article page itself, and then click the download icon in the top right of the PDF viewer screen.

If you forgot your password, click the “Login” link in the top right corner next to the red “Give now” button on desktop, or the “Login” link in the hamburger dropdown menu under “Magazine” on mobile. This will bring up our login modal which includes an “I forgot my password” link that you can use to reset your password. When logged in to “My Account” at https://thebulletin.org/my-account/, you can also update your password by going to the “Profile” tab and clicking “Change password”.

Yes, you can disable automatic renewal of your subscription at any time. To do so, go to the “My Account” page at https://thebulletin.org/my-account/, and toggle the “Auto-renew” button off under the “Library” tab and “My subscriptions” section. Alternatively, you can also click “Manage” and then “Disable auto renew”. If you keep auto-renew enabled, please note that we will send you a reminder email 10 days before your auto-renewal date.

You can update your payment method or card details in “My Account” at https://thebulletin.org/my-account/ by clicking “Add payment method” in the “Cards” tab.

If you’d like to upgrade your subscription, go to the “My Account” page at https://thebulletin.org/my-account/ and click the “Upgrade” button under the “Library” tab and “My subscriptions” section. On the next screen, select the annual subscription option and click submit. Please note that upgrades are effective immediately. Any unused amount remaining on your existing subscription will be applied to your new bill for a prorated charge.

Yes. Please go to the “My Account” page at https://thebulletin.org/my-account/ and click the “Upgrade” button under the “Library” tab and “My subscriptions” section. On the next screen, select the monthly subscription option and click submit. Please note that the downgrade is effective immediately. Any unused amount remaining on your existing subscription will be applied to your new bill for a prorated charge.

If you'd like to cancel your subscription, please go to the “My Account” page at https://thebulletin.org/my-account/. In the “Library” tab and “My subscriptions” section, click “Manage” and then “Cancel subscription”. Please note that cancellations are processed immediately, and you will lose access to our premium content right away even if your subscription end date is a future date.
