A nuclear engineer, Kadak is a professor in MIT’s nuclear science and engineering department. He is a specialist in advanced reactor design, safety analysis, and improved licensing standards for new reactor designs. Before joining MIT, he was president and CEO of Yankee Atomic Electric Company and has years of experience with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission as a licensee. Currently, he is the president of Kadak Associates, a consulting firm that focuses on management and strategic issues facing the nuclear power industry.
