Hendrik Huelss is a post-doctoral researcher at the School of Politics and International Relations, University of Kent. His main research interest is the role of technologies as instruments of external relations. Specifically, he researches the European Union’s development policy as a form of biopolitical governing; the implications of autonomous weapons systems for international norms; and new concepts for the study of norms in international relations. He currently cooperates with Ingvild Bode on a joint research project on autonomous weapons systems and norms.
