Lieberman is a nonproliferation analyst at Argonne National Laboratory. She has previously held positions at the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the US Departments of State and Energy, where she focused on matters related to the International Atomic Energy Agency, nuclear safety and security, safeguards, and bilateral nuclear cooperation. She has published and spoken on a range of nuclear issues, including implementation of 123 agreements for nuclear cooperation with other countries, the South African nuclear weapons program, and nuclear power in Eastern Europe. Lieberman holds a master degree in international relations from Columbia University.
