Meet the Bulletin’s 2017-2018 Interns

The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists is pleased to welcome four new interns to the Chicago office for the 2017-2018 academic year. These highly motivated students assist in the areas of communications, data collection, editorial research, and fundraising and development.

Matt Alexion is a third-year student at the University of Chicago studying psychology and public policy. His work at the Bulletin includes research and overall data tracking to assist with grant production.

Ethan Gelfer is a second-year student at the University of Chicago studying public policy and history. He assists Bulletin staff with donor research and database maintenance.

Louis Reitmann is an exchange student at the University of Chicago from Germany, currently working on his Bachelor’s degree in political science at the University of Vienna, a school with a partnership with the University of Chicago. His work at the Bulletin includes tracking the public impact of the Bulletin’s publishing.

Nick Reuter is a fourth-year student at the University of Chicago focused on energy policy. In his second year as a Bulletin intern, he works with the editorial team to track important news stories around the world in the area of nuclear technology, climate change and emerging technologies.

The Bulletin is very grateful for the energy, enthusiasm and talents of its previous academic year interns:  Laura Brawley, Kirk Lancaster, Delilah Marto, Kiryl Puchyk, and Sophia Weaver. We celebrate this new generation of science and policy experts and the better world that together they will help to create.
