Khia Kurtenbach

Khia Kurtenbach is a senior at the University of Chicago, majoring in Molecular Engineering. She wrote this essay for “The Nuclear Age,” a class taught by Deborah Nelson in the Department of English Language and Literature. In her future career, she wants to help scientists commercialize their research in order to develop impactful technologies.
