Robert P. Redwine

Robert P. Redwine received his Bachelor’s in physics from Cornell University in 1969, and his PhD in Nuclear Physics from Northwestern University in 1973. After postdoctoral research positions at Los Alamos National Laboratory and at the University of Berne (Switzerland), he joined MIT’s physics faculty in 1979.  In addition to teaching and research, he served as director of the Laboratory for Nuclear Science at MIT from 1992 to 2000, and as dean for undergraduate education at MIT from 2000 to 2006.
