Michael Hynes is a research associate at MIT in nuclear engineering, where he teaches courses on nonproliferation. Previously he was a principal engineering fellow at Raytheon in Integrated Defense System. He was a senior-level nuclear weapons physicist at Los Alamos National Laboratory, and a policy analyst at RAND, on the dynamics of global nuclear terrorism and its implications for international as well as homeland security. He started five companies—four domestic and one international. He has been awarded five patents.
