Ahmed Abdel Latif is senior program manager for innovation, technology, and intellectual property at the Geneva-based International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development. In fall 2012, he was a research fellow in the Sustainability Science Program at Harvard University’s Kennedy School. A career diplomat, he was stationed from 2000 to 2004 at the Permanent Mission of Egypt in Geneva. Abdel Latif has worked extensively on issues related to innovation, technology transfer, and clean energy. He is co-editor of Patents and Clean Energy, a 2010 report by the United Nations Environment Programme, the European Patent Office, and the International Centre for Trade and Sustainable Development.
