Alexander Magazinov graduated in 2011 from Moscow State University and received a PhD in Mathematics in 2014 from Steklov Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Currently he works full-time as a software engineer at Yandex, an IT company based in Moscow, Russia, and part-time as a researcher at Skoltech University, also in Moscow. Systematic search for questionable patterns in the scientific literature became his hobby in 2020.
