Amanda Rynes

Rynes graduated from the University of Washington in 2010 with a B.A. in international studies focusing on nonproliferation and arms control. After graduation she spent a summer as a Next Generation Safeguards Initiative intern at Idaho National Laboratory and was subsequently hired as a policy specialist for the lab. In 2012 she spent four months on rotation in the State Department’s Office of Nuclear Energy, Safety and Security, where she worked on an array of nuclear energy related issues. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree from the University of Chicago’s Committee on International Relations and plans to return to Idaho National Laboratory upon graduation.
