Arthur Bienenstock

A physicist, Bienenstock is a professor of materials science & engineering and of applied physics at Stanford University, where he also serves as the special assistant to the president for federal research policy. From 1997 to 2001, Bienenstock served as the associate director for science in the White House’s Office of Science and Technology Policy.
