Charlie Mather

Charlie Mather is professor in the Department of Geography, Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador. His recent research has been funded through a Canada First Research Excellence grant focused on salmon aquaculture in Atlantic Canada. This research is framed theoretically through political ecology and science and technology studies (STS) and focuses on the various problems of salmon aquaculture including escapes, mass mortalities, and sustainability. His published work has appeared in Geoforum, Maritime Studies, Nature Food, Environmentand Planning E, and Science, Technology and Human Values.
