A neuroscientist, Green is a professor of psychiatry and radiology at Wayne State University and the executive director of emergent technologies research at the Detroit Medical Center. His expertise is in forensic medicine and toxicology, and neurophysiology, with a focus on functional brain imaging and clinical MRI. Green is the chair of the Joint Independent Science Panel of the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Chemical, Biological, and Nuclear Protection and also chairs the National Academies’ Committee on Military and Intelligence Methodology for Emergent Neurophysiological and Cognitive/Neural Science Research in the Next Two Decades.
