Cynthia Hooper

Cynthia Hooper is an associate professor of Russian History and the head of Russian and Eastern European Studies at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. She is a specialist on Russian media and disinformation strategy, advising businesses and publishing in the Washington Post, Newsweek,, and Fortune Magazine, among others. Her scholarly interests include the Stalin-era Great Terror and the politics of memory. She received her PhD from Princeton University and BA from Harvard University, and has served as a fellow at Harvard’s Davis Center and the Woodrow Wilson Institute.
