Daniel Zimmer

Daniel Zimmer is a postdoctoral fellow with at joint appointment at Stanford University’s Center for International Security and Cooperation and the Stanford Existential Risks Initiative. His interdisciplinary research explores how the human ability to destroy all human life has impacted Western political thought, paying particular attention to tracing the connections between nuclear fear, climate anxiety, and understandings of AI risk.
