Danny Cullenward

Danny Cullenward is the inaugural Philomathia Research Fellow at the Berkeley Energy and Climate Institute (BECI) at the University of California, Berkeley. An energy economist and lawyer by training, his work focuses on the design and implementation of science-based climate policy. Cullenward has been working on carbon market design for 10 years. In 2013, he represented climate scientists before the Ninth Circuit US Court of Appeals, successfully defending the constitutionality of California’s climate policy. He holds a doctorate in environment and resources from Stanford University and a law degree from Stanford Law School.
