Frederick A. B. Meyerson

An ecologist, Meyerson is assistant professor of demography, ecology, and environmental policy at the University of Rhode Island. His expertise is in population policy and the interactions between human demographic change and the environment. In 1999 and 2001, he served as a contributing writer for the U.N. Population Fund annual report, “State of World Population.” Previously, he was a nongovernmental organization delegate to the 1992 U.N. Earth Summit and the 1994 U.N. International Population and Development Conference. He is on the national board of the Planned Parenthood Federation of America and the advisory board of the Population Media Center.
