Friederike Frieß

Friederike Frieß is a senior scientist at the Institute for Safety/Security and Risk Sciences at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna. She received a PhD in physics (2017) from the Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany. In her dissertation she modeled several fast nuclear reactors for evaluation in regard to their impact on the nuclear waste inventory and the nonproliferation of nuclear weapons. Her current research includes advanced reactor technology, the spread of nuclear energy and its impact on the nonproliferation regime, and the safety of aging nuclear power plants.
