The authoritative guide to ensuring science and technology make life on Earth better, not worse.

Jacob A. Schwartz

Jacob A. Schwartz is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Princeton University. He earned his PhD in 2020 from the Princeton Program in Plasma Physics, with Robert J. Goldston as his advisor, where he studied the “vapor box divertor,” a means to mitigate high heat fluxes in fusion systems. Schwartz is now studying the value of various types of fusion reactors as part of the future electric grid, and for future energy systems more broadly.
