Jaime Aguirre Gómez

Aguirre is director of environmental radiological surveillance at Mexico’s National Commission for Nuclear Safety and Safeguards. Since 2010 he has been Mexico’s representative to the United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation, and from 2006 to 2008 he was president of the Mexican Radiological Safety Society. He received a master’s degree in nuclear chemistry from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 1990.
