Jennie C. Stephens

Jennie C. Stephens is an associate professor, and Blittersdorf Professor of Sustainability Science and Policy, at the University of Vermont. Her research, teaching, and community engagement focus on social, political, and cultural aspects of energy system changes and climate change responses. She is co-author, with Elizabeth J. Wilson and Tarla Rai Peterson, of Smart Grid (R)Evolution: Electric Power Struggles. She is a 2015–2016 Leopold Leadership fellow, and from 2005 to 2014 was on the faculty at Clark University. She received her doctorate in environmental science and engineering from the California Institute of Technology in 2002.
