John Abbotts is a former research scientist at the University of Washington, analyzing public policy issues connected to environmental cleanup at the former federal atomic weapons site in Hanford, Washington, and other locations. Earlier, he served in Admiral Hyman G. Rickover’s Nuclear Submarine Force and the US Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Pesticide Programs. Abbotts holds a PhD in biochemistry from the University of Washington. He lives in Seattle, Washington.
