John Carey

For 27 years, John Carey was a senior correspondent at BusinessWeek magazine and a reporter at Newsweek, covering science, technology, medicine, and the environment. He now writes freelance stories for the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Scientific American and others, and writes or edits reports for organizations like the Global Commission on Adaptation, the World Bank, and the International Renewable Energy Agency. He has three science degrees, but never took a journalism course.
