John W. Lewis

Lewis is a professor emeritus at Stanford University, where he directs the Center for International Security and Cooperation’s Project on Peace and Cooperation in the Asian-Pacific Region. Previously, he has served as a consultant to Los Alamos National Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, the Defense Department, and the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, among others. He has authored or co-authored Negotiating with North Korea: 1992-2007; Uncertain Partners: Stalin, Mao, and the Korean War; and China Builds the Bomb.
