Kate Zander is a Distinguished Analyst and Project Manager at ANSER, where she provides advice and expertise to assist the US Secretary of Defense's Threat Reduction and Arms Control Office in preparing for chemical and biological weapons elimination missions, overseeing the implementation of arms control agreements and threat reduction programs, and developing capabilities to counter weapons of mass destruction. Kate supported the Under Secretary for Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment’s Senior Integration Group on Syrian chemical weapons, which coordinated research, development, and planning for that destruction mission. She also served as the Chief of Staff at the Project on National Security Reform. She holds bachelor’s degrees in diplomacy and foreign affairs, and international studies, from Miami University and a master’s degree in communication from George Mason University. Kate is a recent Arms Control Negotiation Academy Fellow.
