The author of Disarming Strangers: Nuclear Diplomacy with North Korea, Sigal is the director of the Northeast Asia Cooperative Security Project at the Social Science Research Council. Previously, he served as international affairs fellow in the Bureau of Politico-Military Affairs at the State Department and as a member of the New York Times editorial board.
