Martha Krebs is executive director for energy and environmental research development at the University of California at Davis and is also the science advisor for the California Energy Commission (CEC). She was deputy director for R&D (2005–2009) responsible for the CEC’s Public Interest Energy Research program, which conducts R&D on environmentally sound, reliable and affordable energy technologies. From 1993 to 2000, she was assistant secretary for science in the US Department of Energy.
