Paulo E. Santos

Paulo E. Santos is an associate professor focusing on artificial intelligence and robotics at Centro Universitário da FEI in São Paulo, Brazil. From 2003 to 2005, as a research assistant at the School of Computing at the University of Leeds, he worked on an EU-funded project on cognitive vision systems that won the 2004 British Machine Intelligence Prize. In 2003 he received his doctorate in artificial intelligence from Imperial College London for work on the development of spatial reasoning systems for mobile robots, and he has written or cowritten numerous journal articles on issues in robotics and artificial intelligence.
