Ralph Hertwig

Ralph Hertwig is the Director of the Center of Adaptive Rationality (ARC) at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin. Before joining the institute, Hertwig was a professor for cognitive and decision sciences and Dean at the University of Basel, Psychology Department. He research focused on how people make decisions and how good decisions can be fostered. Hertwig has consulted for the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre and is coauthor of a report on the relationship between technology and democracy (https://sks.to/techdem). He is not involved with any aspect of the European Union’s vaccine procurement or policies.
